APD receives Ranaraghini Award
Girls of Action for Pune Development Received Ranaraghini Award for excellence in Social Work at a very young age. The award was handed over by Hon. Home Minister R.R. Patil. Hon. M.P. Vandana Chavan , Mr. Satish Javadekar (Editor of Shivsmruti Magazine) were present for the event.
Aakash Shah , Founder & President , Action for Pune Development was individually felicitated for being a Youth Leader and guiding Youth for Social Work.

Self Defense Training Activity for Girls
Due to the current mishaps on girls in the country and the need for security for girls, Action for Pune Development (a student’s NGO) took up the initiative to make girls aware and independent. APD took up the task of teaching Self Defence to 500 girls in the city. The project was done under the guidance of Hon. MP Vandana Chavan. On 19th and 20th June , 2013 , APD
conducted a self-defence training program in Priyadarshini School , Bibwewadi. Master Trainer Mr. Dhananjay Jarande Sir from Shivmudra Taekwondo Academy , was himself training the girls along with his trainers.
Shashikala Kumbhar , ( Founder of Priyadarshini School) Aakash Shah (Founder & President of Action for Pune Development) , Swapnil Bihani (co-founder) were present for the event.

Moment of Pride - Youngest to Establish NGO
APD has been recognized by Golden Book of World Record in the Young Achievers Category. We are the youngest to establish NGO according to Golden Book of World Records. We received the certificate on 1st May , 2013 along with a shirt , stickers and a batch of GBWR.
